Architectural and Construction
Responsibilities:
• Designs and specifies project appropriate architectural requirements
• Plans and develops projects of various sizes and works under supervision
• Investigates, evaluates and recommends design solutions, prioritizes work, receives guidance on complex issues
• Performs Revit modeling and detailing with team
• Participates in cross-discipline discussions and coordination with multidisciplinary teammates
• Conducts site investigations and observations.
• Prepares basic narratives, reports, drawing and specification documents in accordance with a high degree of quality, with regard to project schedule and budget constraints
• Participates in construction administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals, responding to RFI’s, working to solve construction issues, and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept
• Assists with marketing and business development activities
• Travel for project-related activities may be required
• Coordinating the work of junior professionals and technicians
• Exercise independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and use of standard techniques, working to solve problems when encountered, and receives guidance on complex projects
• Competent in general conventional aspects of architecture
• Performs work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
• Independently solves problems encountered
• Attends client meetings and communicates with clients, consultants, contractors, and others during various stages of project development
• Diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices uses advanced techniques
• Responsible for finished plans, specifications, or approval of materials and construction
• Applies sound and diverse knowledge of architecture principles and practices in a broad array of assignments and related fields
• May act independently regarding architectural methods and complexities
• Requires use of advanced techniques and modification/extension of theories, precepts, and practices of individual’s field
Qualifications:
• 3 years in AEC• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited college or university• Architecture registration required.
General Characteristics
• Maintains knowledge of current industry trends on space, function, materials, etc.
• Proficiency with computer software including Revit Architecture required
• Working knowledge of Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite/Bluebeam preferred
• Time management and organization skills with the ability to be involved and remain current on issues relating to a number of one-two projects in various stages
• Demonstrated ability to develop awareness and begin to lead team coordination of contract documents
• Strong graphic, verbal, and written communications skills
• Positive attitude and commitment to being an active participant working as part of a multidiscipline

Responsibilities:
This position will assist the production, implementation, training and integration of Building Information Modeling into an integrated, interdisciplinary Architectural/Engineering Team design process. The position monitors and maintains the integrity of Revit project models, leading in developing, as well as directly developing Revit content and templates and supporting project teams that utilize Revit to create BIM deliverables. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining the integrity of Revit models.
Support the efforts of team members on assigned projects.
Exhibits leading knowledge of the creation of templates and content.
Conducts periodic Revit project meetings.
Assures Room/Space maintenance, managing links, Copy/Monitor reviews, and Importing/Exporting.
Leads and/or directly is responsible for Purging/Compacting/Auditing of models on a periodic basis.
Leads and/or assists in QA/QC processes using model management tools.
Leads and or directly coordinates submittals, plotting and deliverables.
Conducts basic or refresher Revit training sessions to various size groups.
Exhibits leading knowledge of the project planning process, training requirements, staffing, and the timing of each of these in order to help author a project BIM Execution Plan.
Qualifications:
Coordination knowledge of MEP, and / or Revit Structure
Demonstrated application of BIM processes to healthcare and mixed-use related projects.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Architecture.
Auto Desk Certified Revit Professional certification required within one of the current versions.
5 years minimum experience in BIM/Revit Development for multiple large scale architectural projects
Electrical Controls Designer
DEFINITION: Responsible for designing electrical control systems for material handling equipment including robots, bag filling, and bag palletizers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:
- Provide electrical drafting and design (CAD) work using AutoCAD.
- Design electrical control systems, per direction from Lead Controls Designer or Design Manager.
- Use and apply company drafting standards and best practices.
- Responsible for producing electrical control systems for material handling and packaging equipment
- Create detailed drawings for manufacturing and field assembly drawings.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical design drafting practices.
- Strong math skills.
- Accurate and detail oriented, producing work in a timely manner with minimal errors.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in electrical design field or experience preferred.
- Proficient user of AutoCAD required (AutoCAD Electrical and PLC Ladder Logic a plus).
- Knowledge of electrical practices. Familiar with PLC’s, motor control circuits and other electrical components.
- Practices a strong work ethic.
Under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer designs electrical control systems for safe, effective, and efficient operation of company products, and programs PLCs, meeting or exceeding company quality and production standards, and meeting customer delivery requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
· Design electrical control systems for switchgear assemblies, meeting engineering standards, applicable codes, customer specifications, and within cost constraints.
· Review and interpret customer specifications and sales agreements.
· Program and maintain design layouts and files in the computerized system.
· Create programs for PLCs.
· Redesign standard systems, improving quality and productivity, while reducing costs.
· Evaluate and select electrical/electronic components for control systems.
· Initiate purchase orders.
· Act as technical resource for product field support of customers, service personnel and field sales force, assisting in addressing and resolving problems.
· Participate on cross-functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design and quality problems, and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
· Suggest ideas for new products.
· Stay current in new developments in the industry.
· Travel to job sites to resolve problems.
· Follow all housekeeping procedures.
· Comply with all quality and safety regulations.
Required Skills and Experience (Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities).
- Design of switchgear, switchboards, panelboards in accordance with customer’s functional requirements
- Supporting product assembly and test
- Provide project coordination and management for customer orders.
- Develop product/project quotes.
- Establish and maintain internal, customer, and supplier relationships.
Additional Skills and Experience (Preferred or helpful)
- BS in relevant engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of engineering experience.
- Must be well versed in engineering disciplines.
- Must be self-motivated, have good interpersonal skills, capable of analyzing and solving complex problems through innovative thought and experience.
- Ability to design and implement in own area of expertise.
