Their Engineering Technicians play an essential role in the design and construction of successful, high-quality transportation projects that make a difference in people’s daily lives. They assist their Engineers, Project Managers, and Land Surveyors with drafting, design, surveying, inspection, and testing on a variety of transportation projects. Responsibilities may include:
Computer-aided drafting and design (CADD)
Preparation of plans, drawings, and specifications for transportation projects
Inspection on construction sites to ensure compliance with plans and specifications
Materials testing on construction projects
Performing various surveying tasks

Job Summary:
The Product Designer Engineer is accountable for the design of all internally developed products. They work closely with the Engineering Team, Product Manager, Custom and Catalog Sales Managers to come up with industry leading designs that concentrate heavy use of aesthetic elements as well as functional features.
Essential Functions:
- Take direction from the Product Manager and Engineering Manager to develop and engineer special projects for customers
- Assist the Production Engineer by providing all appropriate information to accurately setup the products in our ERP systems
- Assist the Quality Manger in coming up with test parameters to evaluate all products
- Program all CNC equipment as required
- Revise special products as required
- Resolve CNC programming issues and correct where appropriate
- Evaluate production runs as required by the Production Engineer
Desired Qualifications:
The Product Design Engineer candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of engineering. Experience with engineering specifically for sheet metal or similar materials is preferred. Experience in Solidworks preferred.

Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
Assist in the setup and maintenance of manufacturing equipment and systems.

What Will You Do?
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, the Electrical Design Engineer Supervisor will research, design, develop, plan, and select components for electromechanical, electronic control systems, as well as direct and/or coordinate activities involved in the fabrication, operation, application, installation, and repair of commercial and industrial refrigeration products and systems. This is an experienced level position it is expected the Electrical Design Engineer Supervisor will work under minimal supervision and coordinate and direct the work of other engineers and engineering technicians.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Designs electrical control systems, generates and modifies electrical schematics and panel layouts, assembles bills of material, develops instructions that describe the installation of control systems, and provide support to other disciplines.

Designs equipment and specifies the components of products and systems primarily used for commercial refrigeration, industrial refrigeration, and associated electrical power distribution systems.

Researches and analyzes data – such as customer design proposals, specifications, and manuals – to determine feasibility of design or application of products and systems.

Communicates with the sales organization or directly with the customer about product and system designs, performance and specifications.

Designs products and systems to meet system requirements of quality, cost effectiveness, energy efficiency and other predetermined competitive factors.

Writes proposals and proposal change orders that clearly specify components and overall design of the products and systems.

Communicates with shop personnel to build products according to specifications. Coordinates manufacturing activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and customer specifications.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred. An Associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology with strong relevant experience will be considered.

Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in electrical control panel design with field experience throughout the product life cycle.

Experience with digital design, panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting.

A thorough understanding of electrical power distribution principles and design.

A comprehensive knowledge of the application and implementation of VFD’s for motor control.

Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical with Solid Works Electrical experience preferred.

Extensive working knowledge of UL508A and NFPA 70 (NEC), as well as best practices for control panel design is required.

A very high electro-mechanical aptitude and knowledge.
