Engineering and Manufacturing
Primary Responsibilities:Perform structural design tasks for industrial facilities. Assignments will be varied and can include such items as specification preparation, design and analysis calculations, detail definition, evaluation of existing facilities, construction monitoring, or on-site data gathering. Minimum 4 years practical experience with foundation design as well as industrial structural systems (steel and concrete) is required. This position is expected to be at a level where the individual will be able to independently evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures, using judgement when making minor adaptations and modifications. Assistance would be given for unusual problems. While this is an office-based position, some travel may be required.
Minimum Academic & Professional Requirements: • Minimum Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, with structural emphasis. • Masters Degree is preferred. • Professional Engineering registration is preferred. If not, it would be expected within one year (1) of employment.
Key Skills: • Viable candidate will be a flexible and dynamic team player capable of integrating into an international team. • Individuals must have excellent written and oral communication skills, along with very good organizational and project documentation habits. • Candidate must have excellent analytical skills and proficiency in any one of the industry standard structural analysis programs such as: SAP, RISA, TEKLA, or similar. • AutoCAD or Revit experience is a plus. • Ability to provide excellent customer service, work well in a collaborative environment and demonstrate effective team building skills is a must.
• Spanish or German language proficiency is a plus.
Experience: 4 to 7 years’ experience in structural engineering. Applicable experience sectors may include: Power, Manufacturing, Petrochemical, Pulp & Paper, and/or Mining.
Other: Must have valid US passport or able to obtain a passport, and ability to travel.
Design Engineer / Project Manager
Must have prior experience in food processing, refining, or material handling equipment.
Specialized Skill or Knowledge:
-AAS Degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering Technology, equivalent technical degree or,
equivalent CAD related education/ work experience.
-Minimum 5 years of experience as a CAD Designer in the process equipment industry. Prefer
experience related to the food and dairy industry.
-Must have a strong background in plant layouts, equipment assemblies and fabrication details.
-Good verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to work in a high pressure
-Strong organizational skills are required.
-Must be a self starter, reliable, with a strong work ethic.
-Must have strong analytical/ problem solving skills and be detail oriented. Mechanical aptitude
-Basic math skills including Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry.
-Must have a working knowledge of materials, machine shop and fabrication processes.
-Strong Solidworks Skills
-Must be able to mentor less experienced CAD Designers.
-Strong ability to maintain engineering documentation and implement revisions.
The role of the Project Manager/Engineer is to plan, execute and finalize projects according to Customer specifications, deadlines and within budget. This may include acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants.
Responsibilities:• Ensure system design complies with customer specifications, general processdescriptions, and company standards• Size and/or specify system components for procurement• Develop full-scale project plans (including resources) along with projectmilestones and deliverables• Draft and submit purchasing requisitions for items needed on the project• Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel• Review all drawings to assure accuracy prior to passing onto the customer• Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path• Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises anddevise contingency plans• Responsible for System installation and commissioning and any necessarydocumentation to complete this task• Conduct project post mortems and create a recommendations report in order toidentify successful and unsuccessful project elementsPosition
Requirements:• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Food Science Engineering• 5 years experience in an Engineering capacity preferably related to the food industry• Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft Word,Excel, Project Schedule•
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborativeenvironment is essential• Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating• Ability to effectively prioritize & execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is critical• Ability to travel 40% of the time, including some international travel
You’re an experienced designer who wants to develop conceptual CAD layouts and CAD working drawings of major components of mobile equipment or other types of heavy industry equipment.
Associates in CAD design from an accredited institution
Must have 10+ years hands-on and in-depth design experience with major components of mobile equipment and or heavy industrial equipment.
Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience using Inventor or Solidworks, for the development of working drawings for assemblies, fabrications, sub-weldments, machined parts, hydraulic / electrical / schematics.
Must have been working continuously with one CAD system for two years
Must be familiar with weldment drawing creation including weld callouts, sizing, etc.
Must have experience working with either top down or bottom up assembly creation
Must have familiarity of sheetmetal functionality as well as proper drawing structure hierarchy
Must have some “hands on” experiences in a manufacturing setting
Must exhibit boundaryless behavior and “get it done” attitude
Must be a self-starter and have the ability to work independently
Must be computer literate using Word processing and Excel spreadsheets, as a minimum requirement.
Must be able to communicate effectively with peers, technical supervision or to upper management
Experience using Pro-E/Creo, NX/Unigraphics, or Solid Edge a plus
GD&T Experience (ASME Y14.5) a plus
Experience working within a PDM system a plus
Knowledge of heavy steel structures and mobile equipment a plus
Candidate possesses the ability to recommend proper manufacturing methodologies to create the most cost-effective and efficient approach of fabrication
Knowledge of routed hydraulic or electrical systems
Knowledge of PID, process diagrams, or piping routing
Administration of CAD programs
Proven experience of measurements of existing equipment and translation to CAD models
