1st Shift hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 am Monday-Friday
2nd Shift hours are 2:25 pm to 10:55 pm Monday-Friday
3rd Shift hours are 7:45 pm to 6:15 am Monday night to Thursday morning
To operate CNC milling/turning machine centers and/or manual machinery (mills, drills, lathes, saws, etc.) to perform routine or repetitive operations in a manner which consistently meets customer specifications, quality requirements, and production standards. To perform plating operations in a manner which consistently meets quality requirements and production standards.
Qualifications:• High school education or equivalent – machine shop class work desired.• At least 6 months to 1 year of related CNC milling/turning machine center and/or manual machining experience in a related manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate saws and work in annealing center• Knowledge of blueprint reading and mechanical inspection.• Knowledge of shop math and ability to read a tape measure.• Strong mechanical aptitude.• Displays a positive attitude and willingness to work in a team environment.
1st Shift – Manual Machinist – hours are 6:00 am to 2:30 am Monday-Friday
2nd Shift – CNC Machinist – hours are 2:25 pm to 10:55 pm Monday-Friday
3rd Shift – CNC Machinist – hours are 7:45 pm to 6:15 am Monday night to Friday morning
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES• Ability to set up CNC lathes and mills.• Ability to set up Manual Lathes, Grinders and Mills for Manual Machining operations• Ability to understand and interpret programs using Mastercam software.• Assist with fabricating new components per Engineering drawings• Ability to verify work using various measurement methods.• Assist with modifying components per drawings or engineering’s instruction• Work on jobs according to due date as provided using scheduling system• Maintain shop cleanliness.• Operate equipment in a safe manner• Communicate with other shifts• Work from verbal and or written instructions or sketches• Report job progress using current scheduling system
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES• Ability to use a CAD system when needed to verify drawings.• Mentoring of new Machinists• Work over time as requested• Work other duties as assigned
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS • Strong math skills including trigonometry and geometry• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings• Working knowledge of GD&T• Good interaction skills• Ability to work with minimal supervision• Basic computer skills• Demonstrate good troubleshooting and problem solving techniques• Basic understanding & knowledge of Machine Shop equipment, machining & measuring processes• Two year Machine Tool diploma or degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Needs to be familiar with:- Small PLCs, smart relays – Programming in ladder logic- Operator interfaces, touchscreens & PB – Motor controls, VFDs.- Sensors – optical, prox, mechanical, pressure- Position control – encoders, position feedback (relatively simple)- Discrete I/O – valves & the like- Analog I/O, mainly position sensing- Develop control system function and logic in cooperation with engineers, customers, sales dept.- Select purchased electrical components.- Prepare electrical schematics and panel layouts (AutoCAD Electrical 2016).- Enter parts and BOMs- Write PLC code (Allen-Bradley, ProFace, possibly others).- Design and program touchscreen HMIs- Make it work. Debug control systems for machines on the floor in cooperation with assemblers, electricians and mechanical engineers. – Occasionally assist with installation and service at customers’ facilities.- Prepare operating instructions and manuals, paper and CD copies.- Maintain electrical BOMs for existing products.
In the industrial and municipal markets we are looking for an Electrical Controls Engineer. This is an immediate full-time direct hire position with full benefits and competitive salary. Experience in any or all of the areas below a definite plus:
1) Electrical control panel design using AutoCAD or AutoCAD Electrical.
2) Experience with process instrumentation: temperature, flow, pressure transmitters, etc.
3) Experience with motor control center design and implementation.
4) PLC programming of Rockwell, Group Schneider, GE, or Siemens processors.
5) SCADA programming of Rockwell, Wonderware, or GE products.
6) Visual Studio programming.
7) Start up and commissioning of custom control systems.
8) Project Management
The successful applicant will be involved in the design, programming, check out, and start up phases of control system projects.
