 Logistics, Shipping, and Receiving Manager

 Coordinate the receipts and shipment of goods and services according to the production plan. Develop and navigate a systematic freight plan to manage inventory, move goods within the organization as well as to, and from, our customers and vendors.

 SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

Works under the general supervision of the Supply Chain Manager.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

Supervise warehouse and shipping related personnel.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Develop and implement shipping and logistics strategies to optimize costs, quality, and delivery across all company divisions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement goals with overall business objectives.
  • Create, document and manage an international logistics process.
  • Reviewing shipping documentation to ensure compliance with company standards and federal regulations.
  • Planning and monitoring inbound and outgoing deliveries.
  • Ensuring the accurate recording of warehouse inventory in computer systems and completing inventory audits.
  • Analyze pricing trends, negotiate favorable terms, and reduce freight costs.
  • Mitigate freight risks through contingency planning.
  • Continuously assess and enhance shipping & receiving processes.
  • Identify areas for efficiency gains and implement best practices.
  • Ensure accurate shipping manifests for each outbound truck.
  • Maintain a systematic method of organizing equipment in the yards.
  • Ensure consistent and accurate receiving and inventory practices across the organization.
  • Maintaining safety standards.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Financial skills including cost modeling, cost analysis, etc.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Shipping/receiving and logistics experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • At least 5 years progressive experience in management of shipping/receiving and logistics
  • Working knowledge and understanding of ERP/MRP systems and their use in a manufacturing environment as it relates to the department (ECi M1 or Epicor preferred).
  • APICS certifications a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
  • Ability to demonstrate solid written and oral communication skills. Strong negotiation and organization skills.
  • Leadership/supervisory experience.

Automation Technician

DEFINITION:  Diagnose, adjust, repair, electrical equipment used in automation material handling systems.

 ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Work within a team of Automation co-workers to maintain automatic material handling systems.
  • Operate, test, and inspect equipment to diagnose issues.
  • Log and keep service records.
  • Write and debug effective and safe control programs, which meet end user requirements and company expectations.
  • Debugging of electrical and mechanical systems as needed for operation of all machines.
  • Maintain quality of equipment shipped.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Always follow OSHA safety rules.
  • Safety Awareness, ability to identify and correct conditions that affect safety for yourself and others.
  • Read and understand operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings.
  • Technical aptitude, Controls – VFD, PLCs, HMI, Allen Bradley or similar. Robotics, Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatics. Ability to comprehend complex technical topics and specialized information.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Hold Class C or higher driver license and maintain a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of electrical practices.
  • Practices a strong work ethic.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • An Associate degree in Electrical or Robotic Technology.
  • 4+ years electrical experience preferred.

Electrical Controls Designer

DEFINITION:  Responsible for designing electrical control systems for material handling equipment including robots, bag filling, and bag palletizers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Provide electrical drafting and design (CAD) work using AutoCAD.
  • Design electrical control systems, per direction from Lead Controls Designer or Design Manager.
  • Use and apply company drafting standards and best practices.
  • Responsible for producing electrical control systems for material handling and packaging equipment 
  • Create detailed drawings for manufacturing and field assembly drawings.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical design drafting practices.
  • Strong math skills.
  • Accurate and detail oriented, producing work in a timely manner with minimal errors.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  Degree in electrical design field or experience preferred.
  • Proficient user of AutoCAD required (AutoCAD Electrical and PLC Ladder Logic a plus).
  • Knowledge of electrical practices. Familiar with PLC’s, motor control circuits and other electrical components.
  • Practices a strong work ethic.

Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing production and facility equipment, supporting preventative maintenance efforts, assisting the Plant Supervisor with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining repair parts inventories to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role is part of a Union Team and requires a highly motivated individual with strong initiative and minimal supervision, strong organizational skills, proactive problem-solving abilities and teamwork-oriented mindset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and OSHA regulations.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations on industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair breakdowns related to mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform teardown, repair, replacement, and reassembly of equipment components such as motors, gearboxes, clutches, bearings, and electrical units.
  • Conduct regular maintenance on building equipment, including sprinkler systems, pumps, chillers, compressors, and power distribution systems.
  • Assist with ordering parts, standardizing components, and maintaining inventory for repairs.
  • Support outside contractors on-site as needed.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Utilize Microsoft such as Visio, Excel, Word, and Outlook for documentation and reporting.
  • Responsible for any other special projects as assigned
  • Overtime may be required as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. They must oversee the installation and maintenance of our industrial equipment. As an industrial maintenance technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical equipment. This will include installing new equipment, performing regular services and maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting equipment breakdowns.

  • Minimum 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  • Basic understanding of electrical system distribution.
  • Ability to lift 35 lbs regularly.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Strong initiative and a go-getter attitude.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA safety standards and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite applications (Visio, Excel, Word, Outlook).

This full-time position includes the following duties:

  • Utilize AutoCAD to produce accurate architectural submittal drawings for architect/customer review
  • Analyze project documents and develop detailed drawings required to accurately covey scope of work and architectural intent
  • Assist project managers with updating drawings, creating sketches, creating RFI’s, developing details for unique job conditions, and revise project documents per field dimensions
  • Review work from other drafters to ensure its accuracy
  • Complete projects on time and accurately
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Completed training and proficient in AutoCAD 2015 or newer
  • Previous submittal drafting experience is required
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks and deadlines
