Position Purpose: To provide fire sprinkler design leadership on assigned projects.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for sprinkler system designs that provide high quality and low cost systems
under the supervision of a Lead Designer.
2. Responsible for coordination with project coordinator, superintendent/fitter, & customer.
3. Responsible for purchasing the materials to complete the project with Lead Designer
4. Responsible for maintaining project design records, project changes, and project pricing
5. Responsible for all design communications as it relates to the project and the field install.

2. General Contractor/Property Owner
Knowledge/Skill Requirements:
1. 2 year degree in design
2. Autocad software proficiency
3. Construction plan/print reading familiarity
4. Excel & Word familiarity.
5. 2 years as Apprentice Designer or equivalent.
6. Sprinkler design code requirements
7. Sprinkler system calcs
8. Proficient oral and written communication skills
9. Self-time management & prioritization within a project.
1. Provide detailed drawings of fire protection systems.
2. Retain records on each project assigned.
3. Obtain hydraulic calculations as needed

Job Description: Communicates job expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Monitor and maintain material and product flow through manufacturing processes and ensure the quality of all manufactured products. Training personnel on the system operation  Works with wood department and engineering to optimize painting processes using lean techniques Investigates quality issues to determine root cause and then determines and implements the best resolution Develop SOPs  Troubleshoots and resolves production issues using a systemic process-based approach to problem solving. Creating and managing the preventive maintenance programs Participates in the R&D of the application of powder coating new substrates Report and monitor daily in-process statistics and metrics.  Exploring new wood coating technology and performing the ROI on new equipment Specifying the capital equipment, managing installation, and debugging any issues for start up

Preferred experience: operating automated liquid finishing conveyor line- flat line or conveyor line. Otherwise experience in manufacturing engineering or metal powder coating. Ideally experience and eye for quality finishes, familiarity with wood processes and coating issues, plus color matching. Previous management experience preferred but not required.  An excellent candidate will ideally have the following skills and qualifications: B.S. in Engineering or a technical field desired, equivalent painting experience required Ideally 5+ years’ in a role directly responsible for paint line systems, preferred in automatic wood finishing lines Excellent communication skills with varied personalities  Project management skills specifically over large scope projects Experience with automated painting equipment

• Read Set up sheets and prints to determine set up and operating requirements.• Mount material in machine, manually or using overhead crane• Select tooling in sequence specified per set up• Review control panel and compare to prints to verify any deviations prior to machining• Verify completed parts are made to print• Must be able to multi task, and operate other machines during machine run time• Ability to work as team player
