Duties & Responsibilities

·         Receive customer RFQ’s for quoting.

·         Receive customer orders, initiate order entry and assist in interpretation of drawings and manufacturing process.

·         Establish priority of jobs in production schedule.

·         Assist Production Supervisor in manpower and workflow.

·         Keep track of bulk inventory of steel and aluminum sheet

·         Send RFQ’s when material needed, select vendor on price and delivery, issue PO’s for material.

·         Monitor order progress / completion and notify customer for pickup.

·         Monitor coil inventory, send RFQ’s when needed, select vendor based on price and delivery, issue PO’s for material.

·         Supervise / Train / Assist Operation Specialist in Order Entry, creation of Shop Travelers, closing of orders, creating BOL’s and invoicing customers.

·         Promote good customer relations by providing feedback on orders, drawings, processes and suggestion of improvements to their product.

·         Assist in soliciting and hiring of shop employees.

·         Oversee Accounts Payable/Receivable

·         Maintain checkbook in Quick books

·         Monitor shop purchases for supplies and materials.

·         Bid larger jobs by doing take-offs from blueprints.  If awarded job, track progress of project and due dates in Procore.

·         Follow up on all work-related opportunities whether walk-in, online requests, or soliciting new customers direct.

·         Establish / track profitability of current work to determine future opportunities or price.

·         Maintain harmony amongst workers / supervisors.

KSA’s

·         5 years of management experience

·         5 years of steel fabrication experience

·         Light gauge/structural
