The project manager reports to the Director of Operations. Their chief responsibilities include being the main customer contact and overseeing the overall progression of projects while continuing to analyze revenue, expenses, and schedules to meet delivery expectation.
The project manager is a key member of our project team and works directly with the project controller, production scheduler, drafting and logistics departments to help define and maintain project objectives and timelines. Project managers prepare production work orders and maintain project budgets, analyze progress, and recommend actions for improvement and cost savings. A project manager’s duties include the following:
• Work with the project controller to define project budget and scope• Create project schedules in Microsoft Project and provide weekly tracking on progress• Use tools and systems in accordance with company processes for documentation• Send out quote requests to multiple vendors for manufacturing material procurement• Follow-up on vendor purchase order delivery dates, track costs & report to the project controller• Communicate delivery details with logistics specialist
SKILLS/BACKGROUND:• Degree or professional experience in project or business management• Communication skills• CAD & Blueprint reading• Computer skills, tracking software, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam• Interior wood finishes & millwork experience beneficial• Strong organizations skills• Highly motivated
