Sr. Structural Designer (Hybrid/Remote)

This Company’s Structural team is responsible for designing, analyzing, and ensuring the integrity of structures across a variety of projects. We work on a diverse range of buildings, infrastructure, and industrial facilities, providing innovative solutions to meet both functional and safety requirements. The team focuses on delivering high-quality structural designs, collaborating with architects, partners, and other engineers to create efficient, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions that adhere to regulatory standards and client specifications.

Your role:

The Sr. Designer works with Engineers and Project Managers to prepare complete construction documents and assist during the construction support phase and acts as a primary technical contact on projects.

  • Prepare proposals and required drafting fees.
  • Understand and convey scope, schedules and end-product needs to the internal project team.
  • Layout plans, sections and details to specified company/client CAD standards working directly with engineers and project managers.
  • Review project documents for coordination with all disciplines to avoid and resolve conflicts
  • Participate in internal coordination meetings and client coordination meetings.
  • Design and layout preliminary concepts and accurately communicate the content.
  • Prepare and edit specifications, coordinate with drawings, and review shop drawings.
  • Communicate with client and contractors regarding RFI’s and field questions.
  • Support project team in nurturing the client relationship.
  • Provide direction and distribute work to technicians, designers and engineers.
  • Mentor and train technical staff to produce high-quality design services and deliverables.
  • Perform a quality control review.
  • Perform site visits as needed.

Your resume must include:

  • Certificate in construction-related design/drafting or higher and at least 8 years of directly related experience.
  • OR at least 9 years of directly related experience in lieu of certificate.

Starting Hourly Range: $33.50 – $52.50. A variety of factors are considered when determining an offer including, but not limited to, market data, geographic location, experience, and specialized skills.
