Seeking candidates for 1st and 2nd shift labor positions for people to do assembly of decks, balconies and railings or grinding of the parts for those items. Need to be able to read a tape measure.

1st shift is Monday through Friday 6:00 am to 2:30 pm.

2nd shift is Monday through Thursday 2:30 pm to 1:00 am

AV SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER, The Engineer will work closely with the sales staff to provide both general and specific recommendations on equipment, technologies and implementation. Upon sale, the AV Systems Design Engineer shall provide drawings, configuration and testing of equipment/systems. Alpha places a heavy emphasis on a collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities:• Consult with the Sales team to establish customer needs and present solutions.• Determine client expectations for system functionality through communication with the sales department and client• With the sales department, recommend general and specific solutions to clients• Design complete systems for quoting including equipment, parts, consumables and labor• Write scopes of work to convey system expectations• Respond to bids• Diagram systems using AutoCAD and Visio• Work with a project manager to manage proposals including coordination of installers with end client and tracking of time and materials• Provide technical support to Alpha Video employees and clients in any areas of expertise• Research new products to remain current on technology solutions• All other duties as assigned and deemed appropriate
Requirements:• Up to 30% travel, often on a last-minute basis• Occasional evening and weekend work

Computer Skills:• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel• AutoCAD and Visio experience required• Microsoft Visio, Great Plains, and QuoteWerks experience preferred
Certificates and Licenses:• Valid driver’s license• InfoComm CTS certification required within one year of employment• InfoComm CTS-D preferred
Physical Demands:• Lift, push, or carry up to 40 lbs• Sit, stand, bend, crouch, and kneel• Walk on uneven surfaces• Climb ladders up to 10’ tall

BROADCAST SYSTEMS DESIGN ENGINEER, The Engineer will work closely with the sales staff to provide both general and specific recommendations on equipment, technologies and implementation. Upon sale, the Broadcast Engineer shall provide drawings, configuration and testing of equipment/systems, and in some cases may act as project manager. Alpha places a heavy emphasis on a collaborative work environment.

Education/Experience:• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required with a minimum of five (5) years relevant experience
Computer Skills:• Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and Excel• AutoCAD experience• Microsoft Visio, Great Plains, and QuoteWerks experience preferred

Miscellaneous Metals Drafter/Detailer Miscellaneous

Metals Drafter/Detailer Opening for a seasoned Tekla Designer / Drafter at Astro Engineering and Manufacturing, a custom metal fabrication shop located in Hanover, MN.
Must be proficient in Tekla for modeling and detailing of projects for miscellaneous metals in construction.

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):• Transform an initial product concept or work off Architectural dwgs to create 3D models using Tekla.• Create manufacturing working drawings from 3D models which include dimensions, isometric, and exploded views along with information required to manufacture.• Detailing Stairs, handrail, miscellaneous metals & ornamental metals Comply with all applicable codes and contract specifications.• Create Approval, Fabrication, Erection drawings and Bill of Materials for misc. metal projects.• Modifies existing designs based on Project Manager requirements.• Processes ECN’s (Engineering Change Notices) and update documentation.• check/redline the work of other Steel Detailers.• Work within engineering team to prepare jobs for shop releaseEducation: Associate Degree in Drafting or a related field of engineering.Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:• Must be proficient in Tekla

• Must be familiar with manufacturing processes related to machining, sheet metal, and welding.• Must be proficient in designing parts, weldments, and sheet metal parts.• Must have strong attention to detail, and organizational skills, working in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.• Must have strong basic computer skills and a competent level of experience in MS Word and Excel.• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and work well in a team environment.• Must have mechanical aptitude for how industrial / architectural products are assembled.• Good verbal and written communication skills and must have strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude.• Read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.• Work with project Engineers and Architects to interpret/resolve design issues.• Work closely with Fabrication to interpret/resolve layout and/or detail issues.• Perform field measurements to translate into custom layouts and fabrication drawings, as required.
